Reader survey: the best and worst things about your CAT tools (Riccardo’s entry)

  • “I am very happy with your invention and service.”

     Yakeen Herve Rafalli French translator

  • “Dallas just released an updated version of his VERY cool idea of ‘Fixing MT results using your own Glossaries’, which I am going to try immediately on the rest of my patent for this evening. I think GT4T’s implementation is already way better than either Lilt or SDL’s SDL ‘AdaptiveMT’, which is pretty amazing, but mirrors my experience with CafeTran: one guy manages to produce a CAT tool which is way better than anything produced by companies with millions of euros at their disposal and vast development teams.”

     Michael Joseph Wdowiak Beijer https://cafetran.freshdesk.com/support/discussions/topics/6000051572/page/2?url_locale=

  • “GT4T really is a productivity tool more than anything else. The dictionary/MT data as such are available (and I have used them before) but I haven’t seen a tool that so nicely flows with a translator’s workflow. That really makes it special.”

     Daniel Arnold

  • “Thank you Dallas, I am really used to use it –now for more than five years, I believe.
Not sure how I would survive without this precious tool.”

     Vontum

  • “Thanks mainly to GT4T, my 2018 turnover was €45.000 higher than my 2017 turnover”

  • “I don’t always need to have GT immediately copied into the target segment, since I often actually prefer not to use it for a specific sentence, for many reasons. GT4T – apart from being a lot cheaper on the long term – which helps – allows you to stop and think and then apply GT or Bing if you wish to do so… a very valid alternative! And I forgot to say that Dallas is very quick in his support.”

     Giovanni Guarnieri English-Italian translator

  • “I like the simplicity of the glossary you have. I always had the same question, why can’t these expensive CAT tools not make life easier instead of more complex.”

     Filip Develter

  • “R2-D2 Likes GT4T.”

  • “I am pretty impressed mate. Very nice functionality. Thank you for letting me know, this will become part of my daily work. The MT is OK in terms of quality (I can only judge for DE>EN) but still needs heavy editing. The dictionary function is extremely well thought-through and practical.”

     Daniel Arnold

  • “Hello I just wanted to say that GT4T is revolutionary! A really amazing job. I use it all the time as a translator. ”
